This research examines local clay sourced from Colchester, Mersea Island, and Walton in Essex, focusing on its properties and workability. I have incorporated various minerals into the clay to enhance its workability for wheel throwing.

This exploration aims to demonstrate how using found clay can promote sustainability and reduce environmental impact in my pottery practice.
