My art practice didn’t start with clay. I studied Fine Art at Colchester Institute and look at themes of feminism and existentialism. I use a range of materials and techniques, including the slit scan hack with film cameras and video work.

In my videos, I interview people on various subjects and use these recordings in my projects. A good example of this is described by Matt Bowman:

"Wearing an anonymising grey suit, Gunnarsdottir disrupts notions of a single self as she takes on the role of both interviewer and interviewee, deliberately moving the focus away from the individual and towards a more collective or universal understanding of how people comprehend their own identity."
